Hi! Thanks for being here.
Meet Christel

Photographer
Hello and welcome!
I'm Christel. I have lived in San Diego for most of my life and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I feel blessed everyday for this photography business and the opportunity to do a job that I love which never feels like “work”. I am a lifestyle photographer, specializing in family, newborn and engagement/wedding photography based in Carlsbad, CA (serving all of San Diego and willing to travel).
I love spending time with family & friends, playing with my Sheepadoodle, beach days, sunsets, traveling, concerts with my hubs, Lagree, iced mochas (Revolution Roasters is my favorite) and 90s hip hop/ r&b and island reggae.
I picked up my first SLR camera back in college when I took a black & white film photography class (way before digital cameras) and I was instantly obsessed. You would often find me with a camera in my hand anywhere I went. Motherhood transformed my passion for photography immensely…my 3 kids are my biggest inspirations. After much encouragement from those dear to my heart, I decided to take a leap of faith in 2017 and turned this special hobby of mine into a beautiful business. Photography has time and time again proven to be extremely therapeutic and cathartic, it’s the creative release that makes my heart happy.
It truly fuels my soul to document these fleeting moments in time. My style is chill, laid back, emotive and fun! I want to capture you and your family exactly as you are today. Time is truly a thief. On your wedding day, I will be by your side, not just to document your moments, but to feel them with you. I want you to take in every single second. I aim to tell your story honestly and beautifully, so that no moment or memory ever fades.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my work. I hope to have the opportunity to capture some special moments of you and yours.
Much love,
Christel
“The camera makes you forget you’re there. It’s not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much.” ”
“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
